Ovarian Cancer Symptoms

Ovarian cancer symptoms are often vague, and often similar to many other more-common problems, including digestive and bladder.

When the symptoms of ovarian cancer is present, persistent and tend to worsen over time. Early stage ovarian cancer may cause symptoms, although these symptoms also occur with other conditions. You should consult with your doctor if you have symptoms daily for more than two weeks:

swelling
Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly
Pelvic or abdominal pain
Other symptoms are also seen with ovarian cancer. However,these symptoms are also common in women without cancer:
Abnormal menstrual cycle
Gastrointestinal symptoms:
constipation
Increased gas
indigestion
Lack of appetite
Nausea and vomiting
Heavy feeling hip
Swelling of the stomach or abdomen
Re-described pain worsens with time
vaginal bleeding
Vague lower abdominal discomfort
Weight gain or loss
Other symptoms that may occur include:
Excessive Hair Growth
Increased urinary frequency or urgency

If you have a family history of ovarian or breast cancer, talk to your doctor about the risks of ovarian cancer. In some cases,your doctor may refer you to a geneticist to discuss the evidence that mutations in certain genes increase the risk of breast and ovarian cancer.
